Proofs without words: Sum of square numbers

A "proof without words" convincingly justifies a mathematical claim just by picture.

Here a formula for the sum of the first n squares is demonstrated, \(1^2 + 2^2 + 3^2 + \ldots + n^2 = \frac{n (n + 1) (2 n+ 1)}{6}\).
