Linear and Nonlinear Singularly Perturbed Problems with Interior Layers

Jason Quinn (Dublin City University)

In this talk we examine linear and nonlinear singularly perturbed problems with interior layers. The location of the interior layer is unknown thus we cannot place a fine shiskin mesh in the location. We consider a range of values around which we can centre a fine shishkin mesh in the interior layer region. Numerical analysis of the problems is discussed results are presented to illustrate the theoretical parameter-uniform error bounds established.
